the only thing i dont like about internet poker is that they reward the chasers too much

i am no expert by any means....ive only been playing 4 years....but i know when to make moves and show aggression

too many times ill do all the right raises and all-in moves, and some rookie will call hoping for a 10% chance river card.....i havent documented the results, but i seem to get rivered/runner runner 50-70% of the time.

there are times where i know i made a bad move and it cost me some chips/money, but i have learned from those mistakes. What really frustrates me is when i played it the right way the whole way, and the lesser hand wins. i know its part of the game, but its definitely more common on internet poker than it is in live games.

"you sound like a loser"

We dont play that shit here phish, even when its true. if you'd like to post over at 2+2 you'll fit right in, but here we are free to express our disapointments , mistakes, etc with out name calling....as far as i can tell this is your 1st post here in the poker forum so no biggie, i know its kinda standard practice in some of the other forums but we dont really go for that here in poker..

Since you are new here let me welcome you by paying your entry fee into the next R/X Members tourny at Poker Stars..Weds night at 8pm central. if you dont have an account there create one , post your user name in the tourny announcement thread and ill transfer the 11 bucks to your account..

i am with jvpish

whinge whinge.... bad beat.... moan.. moan....river...river...whinge..whinge.

Why are so many posts on so many sites purely a whinge about bad beats? Without bad beats there is no profit in poker for a skilled player.

If I play the average player at chess - I was near master strength - they will do well to win 1 game from 100. But at poker the average player can win 10 to 20% of the time against a master player. Which is why the fish keep coming back for more at poker.

We can all whinge about the bad beats we get and the times we sit there getting dealt hand after hand of 8-2 offsuit. I just don't see the point in doing it.
